Model shot of ‘The Devil and the Bishop Came to Tea’
by Allison J Scott
This hat had the look and feel of a crown from an ancient civilisation and the printing process we used added to the otherworldly quality we wanted to portray in this piece. We wanted to make an image that helped to express the maker’s idea of how there are positive as well as negative aspects of mental illness, which often go unseen. We did this by positioning the hat to obscure the head of the model leaving a shadow where the face should be.
