About 'Held'
The Held exhibition explores mental wellbeing through art. A wide range of artists express the idea that we have the key to our emotional wellbeing in our own hands. Each artwork suggests ways of keeping balance in busy and stressful lives by pursuing relaxing, enjoyable and life-enhancing activities. Animation, textiles, ceramics, paintings, sculptures and creative writing are woven together in this exhibition by award-winning arts-based mental health service Start, part of Manchester Mental Health and Social Care NHS Trust. See our exhibitions pages for more information and to view images and animations from 'Held'.
