Horticulture Gallery Title : Potato Rows
We grow potatoes every year on the vegetable plot. We established a vegetable plot from scratch, by gradually breaking down the hard to work soil so that now it is in quite good condition. We grow a wide range of vegetables including beans, peas, onions, sweet corn, rhubarb and lettuce.
The bulk of the vegetable produce goes to the user-run cafe at Start for use on soups and stews each week in the spring and summer.
