How Are You Feeling Today?
This group project was the outcome of a short course on issue-based work. Working in Central library on World Mental Health Day 2002, members of the public were asked to make a collage mask from magazine images based on how they were feeling at that particular time.
They were then photographed wearing their mask whilst holding a written description of their mood. The finished masks were displayed at the art and design library.
The photographic part of the project was inspired by Gillian Wearing’s piece called “Signs that Say What You Want Them To Say and Not Signs that Say What Someone Else Wants You To Say”.
