The fine grain of the 50 ASA film used to take this photograph provides excellent detail and strong contrast in this shot of a Manchester canal. The student used various exposures when printing the photograph to bring out the shadow detail and darken the sky. The contrast between the light and shade and the strong diagonal lines make this an interesting image.
