In our Animation Studio studentslearn about mark-making and drawing techniques, and are introduced to some of the ways that simple animations can be created - for example flick-books and thaumatropes. They then learn how to design and create a stop-frame animation (still photographs digitally 'joined together' in such a way as to create the impression of movement and animation). Animation students may try out a variety of techniques such as drawing in sand, and drawing with light, and will use digital photographic techiques too.
